Sustainable footwear leader among top-ranked in the Corporate Social Responsibility category
The list honors the businesses that have not only found a way to be resilient in the past year, but also turned those challenges into impact-making processes. These companies did more than survive, they thrived—making an impact on their industries and culture as a whole. This year’s MIC list features 463 businesses from 29 countries.
“We’re honored to be listed among the top 10 most innovative companies in 2021,” said Twisted X CEO, Prasad Reddy. “We continuously strive to revolutionize the way we make footwear. Sustainability is at the heart of our product innovation but also our brand DNA. It is an honor to be included in this elite list of socially responsible brands and further motivates us to push the boundaries, all while doing our part to save our planet – one shoe at a time.”
Twisted X is committed to doing our part to save our Earth by creating products from recycled plastic, agricultural waste and natural resources, while at the same time aiding in the reforestation of the troubled tree population in the U.S. In November 2020, the brand launched its first no glue shoe,
Zero-XTM, which eliminates 75 percent of the harsh environmental chemicals emitted in traditional shoemaking. Twisted X also partnered with Wrangler® to create Wrangler Footwear – a diverse and innovative collection with a focus on quality, comfort, and sustainability which is slated for this summer.
The brand is adding sustainability back into the Earth by planting one tree for every pair of its ecoTWXTM and Zero-X lines, through its partnership with One Tree Planted®. Twisted X is also a member of The Arctic Shipping Pledge, vowing not to ship any product through arctic waters that are now accessible as a result of climate change.
Fast Company’s editors and writers sought out the most groundbreaking businesses across the globe and industries. The annual list is Fast Company’s signature franchise and most highly anticipated editorial efforts of the year, providing a snapshot and road map for the future of innovation across dynamic sectors of the economy. The Most Innovative Companies March/April issue is now available online here, as well as iTunes and on newsstands starting March 16, 2021.
“In a year of unprecedented challenges, the companies on this list exhibit fearlessness, ingenuity, and creativity in the face of crisis,” said Fast Company Deputy Editor David Lidsky, who oversaw the issue with Senior Editor Amy Farley.
To coincide with the issue launch, Fast Company will host its first-ever Most Innovative Companies Summit on March 9 and 10. This virtual summit will celebrate the listed companies, provide an early look at major business trends and offer inspirational and practical insights on what it takes to innovate in 2021.
